Sairina Merino Tsui

Sairina's roots in the Bay Area, combined with her background playing the erhu and performing traditional Chinese folk dance, are the reason she joined the Board. She brings over a decade of experience as a teacher and administrator in urban education and currently is a software engineer at an edtech nonprofit. She is committed to deepening PSMEF's impact in Oakland and believes that the best music is diverse and inclusive, and an excellent music education should be accessible to all students. As Board President, Sairina plays a crucial role in establishing new partnerships, fostering collaboration, and strengthening existing relationships within the community.
