Discover the joy of Chinese music with our Intro to Dizi class at Everyday Mandarin hosted at Tobias Elementary School! Students will learn the basics of the dizi — a traditional Chinese bamboo flute — including simple techniques, cultural context, and fun group play. This engaging session is perfect for beginners and gives students a hands-on introduction to Chinese musical heritage while building confidence and creativity

California State Railroad Museum
This performance will honor the people of many different backgrounds who help to build and work the railroads of California, uniting all of these traditions through music.
The performance will take place within the California State Railroad Museum's roundhouse where musicians and audience alike will be surrounded by locomotives, railcars, and railroad stories. This event will be free with admission to the Museum.
Piedmont Food Fest
Great Wall Youth Orchestra will be performing at the Piedmont Food Fest.
California State Railroad Museum Student Field Trip
Students will visit the California State Railroad Museum to learn about the history of the railroad workers and often overlooked cultures who have played a large role in the building of the transcontinental railroad.
Please meet at Laney at 8:45am for this field trip.
