He Cheng Liu, Music Coach, is a pipa (Chinese flute) virtuoso who began studying music when he was five years old. At age 11, he was accepted as a gifted student by the Junior Division of the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and in 1980, he graduated with honors. He continued to study the pipa and the gu qin at the Central Conservatory of Music, where he earned his BA in 1984. Mr. Liu has taught extensively and performed as a soloist worldwide.
