Annie Wang

Annie began learning the pipa at the age of 8 and started performing at the age of 11.

She studied with two professional teachers from Guangxi Conservatory of Music and Wuhan Conservatory of Music. She has more than 25 years of experience playing the pipa, and more than 10 years of performance experience in solo, ensemble, and orchestra formats.

She also has more than 10 years of teaching experience at the China Orchestral Society, achieving all-levels excellent and excellent instructor.

She also competed and was First prize in the 2007 Harmony Cup Instrument Solo Competition, first prize in the Music Association's Instrument Performance TV Competition and Two-time champion of the Guangxi Talent Competition in 2010 and 2011.

She was a permanent performer in the CCTV " 三月三民歌节, March Third Folk Song Festival," Zhang Yimou's " 象山印象 Xiangshan Impression," and the Tourism Bureau's " 两江四湖 Two Rivers and Four Lakes" literary project.
